Some of us live in the country and some in the city, but the geography of our lives is of little vital importance. In fact, hardly anything alters the fact that the world is here. I know I do after I have spent a half hour of my time with him, and that is often my privilege. I know the big business office he runs. Everyone in that office has the spirit of a fighter and a conqueror—even “Mike” who wraps the packages. 

George Matthew Adams is a “taker” himself, and he multiplies himself. He takes knocks and bounces back up. He takes victories and looks ahead for some more of the enemy. He takes cities and passes on to the next one. (Salesmen will know what I mean.) He takes life with a square jaw and the buoyant, resilient heart of a boy. And, best of all, he takes dozens, hun¬ dreds, of people along with him into that world of enthusiasm that he creates anew every morning. He should do himself into a book. i
