The Stoic Bible
The Stoic bible is consisting of 3 public domain books, based on the remaining works of the famous Stoics: Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca (Was he Stoic!?) , There were many stoics but most of their works were lost. The book is far from perfect, I collected 3 PDF books and removed their introductions so the readers can get into the main texts directly and added clear red numbers. but I am sure it will be useful for you.
Contents :
- The meditations of Marcus Aurelius which is translated by Méric Casaubon
- The Epictetus' work: discourses and handbook translated by Elizabeth Carter.
- Seneca's moral letters, which is famous by the name "letters from a stoic" Translated by Roger L'Estrange
The purpose of Stoicism is to be virtuous and to follow Nature and reason, Concentrating on only what we control to live a purposeful life. Stoicism is not Science or religion, it is a moral philosophy that is useful for self-help and dealing with hardships.
